In 2024, the Society for Experimental Finance awarded two Vernon L. Smith Young Talent Awards for the best research proposals in finance using experimental methodology. Each award comes with $4,000 for running experiments, generously sponsored by Chapman University.
The panel members, Camelia Kuhnen (University of South Carolina), Nobuyuki Hanaki (Osaka University), Christine Laudenbach (Goethe University), and Stefan Palan (University of Graz), assessed 13 proposals and selected two winners:
