ASSA Session 2026

In ASSA 2027, we will have our dedicated session for SEF at the annual meetings, this year organized by Olga Rud and Peiran Jiao. The Paper Session “Financial Decision Making: Experimental Evidence” will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2027, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM (EST). It will take place at Westin DC Downtown. The speakers are:

  • Peiran Jiao – Welcome Address
  • Abigail Hurwitz – Understanding ESG investments: The joint role of literacy and attention (Discussant: Julian Kölbel)
  • Arzu Işik – Does paying for data change investment decisions (Discussant: Elena Asparouhova)
  • Ernan Haruvy – Learning bad: Optimal design of bad recommendations (Discussant: Peiran Jiao)
  • Olga Tatarnikova – The coexistence of under-investment and under-diversification (Discussant: Michael Ungeheuer)

I’m interested in behavioral and experimental finance/economics, and applied microeconomics. Particularly, I focus mainly on three topics now: 1) learning and information acquisition, 2) biased belief formation and updating, 3) sustainable finance.
