ASSA Session 2026

Recently the SEF became a member of the ASSA. In 2026, we will have the second edition of our own session at the annual meetings. The session this year is jointly organised by Olga Run and Peiran Jiao.

At this year’s ASSA meeting in Philadelphia, we will have the paper session “Financial Decision Making and Markets” with the following speakers and discussants.

  • Olga Rud – Welcome Address
  • Mariana Khapko – How Do Retail Investors Use Order Flow Data? (Discussant: Camelia Kuhnen)
  • Elena Asparouhova – The Role of Financial Markets in Mitigating Credit Market Bubbles (Discussant: Jean-Paul Rabanal)
  • Yilong Xu – A “Green Premium” or A “Brown Discount”: Evidence from Experimental Asset Markets (Discussant: Zwetelina Iliewa)
  • Müge Süer – The Effect of Anticipated Discrimination on Gender Differences in Entrepreneurial Finance (Discussant: Catherine Eckel)

We think it will be a good session, and we hope to see you there.

I’m interested in behavioral and experimental finance/economics, and applied microeconomics. Particularly, I focus mainly on three topics now: 1) learning and information acquisition, 2) biased belief formation and updating, 3) sustainable finance.
