Experimental Sustainable Finance

On April 24-26, 2024, the first Experimental Sustainable Finance Symposium took place at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

The symposium focused on the utilisation of the Experimental Finance methodology – as delineated in the Handbook of Experimental Finance (Füllbrunn and Haruvy, 2022) – in the context of contemporary research inquiries within Sustainable Finance – discussed, e.g. in the special issue of the Review of Finance (Edmans and Kacperczyk, 2022). Participating scholars conveyed insights from ongoing and previously published research, thoroughly analysed the methodological strengths and limitations, and contemplated novel applications of this approach.

The organisers appreciated funding from Fritz Thyssen Stiftung für WirtschaftsförderungUM-Behavioral Insights Center and the NSM’s hotspot Integrated Decision Making
