Journal

The SEF aims to improve publishing opportunities in experimental finance for regular papers and short papers, but also for registered reports, survey papers and papers which are more explorative in nature. The SEF therefore has entered into a long-term cooperation with the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance (JBEF), aiming to promote it as an outlet for experimental finance research. A number of SEF members also serve on the editorial board of the JBEF, including the two co-editors-in-chief, SEF Past President Elena Asparouhova and SEF Managing Director Stefan Palan.

The Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance’s quality and impact are evidenced by some of its journal metrics:

  • Impact factor: 4.3 (Ranked 33/231 in BUSINESS, FINANCE)
  • CiteScore: 13.2 (Ranked 10/317 in FINANCE)
  • ABDC Journal List Rank: A

The cooperation between the SEF and JBEF encompasses the following elements:

  • The SEF board from time to time commissions review and survey articles on experimental finance topics, which are then published in JBEF. If you wish to propose a topic, please contact the SEF’s Journal Officer and JBEF Editor-in-Chief Stefan Palan
  • The SEF proposes, and SEF members guest-edit, special issues on innovative topics in experimental finance
  • The journal sponsors SEF events and activities
